Each model that is opened for editing is represented in the tree by a root model node. When the node is expanded, its tree is visible beneath it. To reduce screen clutter, models may be selectively collapsed to just their root nodes.
The "Expand" menu item operates only on the model that is currently selected. A model is considered "selected" when any node that belongs to that model is selected, even a child node. "Expand All" opens all of the model nodes.
Double-clicking on the root node of a model will toggle it between expanded and collapsed.

Each model that is opened for editing contains an entry in the Window menu. This allows for quick and easy selection of a particular model.
Models are referenced on the menu by filename, unless they have never been saved, in which case they are listed by their model name.
The current model has a checkmark beside it in the menu.
The first ten models are given a shortcut key 0-9 which can used in conjunction with the keyboard to quickly select that menu item.
